Availability - Assumptions
for Connection to the Service
In order for someone to access the i-choice service
the following requirements should be met:
1. For service provisioning,
CYTA's telephone exchange, to which the customer's
telephone line is connected, should be equipped
with DSL equipment. At the initial phase, the service
will be provided to the urban areas.
2. The length of the copper line
from the customer premises to the telephone exchange
must be less than four (4) kilometers and the quality
of the line should be adequate (higher than the
one required for the telephony service).
3. The customer should own a
personal computer equipped with a USB port or an
Ethernet card.
After submission of the application for service,
CYTA will investigate every aspect of the prerequisites
and the customer will be notified of the possibility
of getting an i-choice connection.
At this stage the i-choice service
is available in the most urban
and semi-urban areas, as well as,
some rural areas.
