i-choice offers
its customers the possibility of connection to CYTA's broadband
data network. Connected to the broadband network are several
Internet Service Providers through which customers can connect
to the Internet, in Cyprus and abroad.
i-choice provide access to CYTA's broadband network
and is up to 20 times faster than an analogue connection of 56kbps or a digital
telephony connection (ISDN 64 Kbps). This means that the customer can enjoy
fast access to websites, pictures, music, e-mail, video or multimedia.
In addition, the customer will have an always on connection
to the internet so it won't be necessary to dial up every time.
This type of connection is powered by DSL (Digital Subscriber
Line) technology.

The DSL equipment installed at the customer's site can separate the
telephony connection from the connection to the broadband network, offering the
customer the possibility to use telephony service at the same time as the Internet.

Home users
Once connected via DSL to the broadband network a WebPage with links to
several service providers is presented. With a single click, the customers
can get connected to the ISP of their choice, provided that they are customers
of that particular ISP and possess appropriate access codes.
Three products are offered for the home customers :

who use the internet often, for
communication and info rmation
and they want to enjoy the advantages
of fast access and
fixed monthly fee. It offers (

and is upgraded offering (downstream/upstream)

Business users
The i-choice businesslite product
is designed for the Small and Medium
Enterprises (SMEs) as well as home
users with networking needs and/or
multi-computer environments. Customers
can be directly connected to the
ISP of their choice, thus gaining
immediate and permanent connection
to the Internet.
i-choice businesslite offers
downstream/upstream speeds of up to 1024/512 kbps UBR, is offered
with modems that do not have routing capability and have the
capability to allocate up to eight (8) public IP addresses
per customer
The service that is designed for the
business users is i-choice business .
This service offers higher speeds,
up to 2Mbps downstream and 512kbps
upstream and comes with a special ADSL
modem with an integral router, which
facilitates simultaneous connections
from a local area sub-net of several
computers to the services.
