Connection to the Service Selection Gateway using the Speed Touch USB
modem
The connection to the Service Selection Gateway where the internet providers
are located, should be carried out using a dial-up connection.
To perform a dial-up connection the user has to create first the dial-up icon
like the one shown here.

This icon could be created using the application “Make New Connection” that
is located in the “Dial-Up Networking” folder which in turn is located in the
“My Computer” folder on the desktop.
A wizard will help you during the process. You only have to press “Next” to advance.
At the beginning of the process, make sure you choose “Speed Touch-Line0” at
the “Select a device” field (as shown in the figure below).

When the dial-up icon is created click on it using the
right mouse button and activate the command “Properties”.
Make sure that the following settings shown under “Server
Types” card look like the ones below.

To connect to the Service Selection Gateway, double click
on the dial-up icon.
A window as shown below will appear requesting user name, password and phone
number.

The connection is now active and you may proceed with the connection
to the service selection gateway using your browser.
