Software Installation
Alcatel Speed Touch USB
The following procedure is about installing the drivers
for the Alcatel USB modem:

1. During the installation procedure, the modem should not be
connected to your PC. The USB modem works with Windows 98/ME/2000 .
2. Please make sure that the USB Port in BIOS settings
is enabled |
Insert the USB installation CD (given to you with the modem) in your PC's CD
ROM Drive:
Go to  and choose the command Run . Enter D:/Setup.exe where D stands
for the drive letter of the CD ROM drive.
As soon as the preparation is finished, installation will start automatically.
When the “Welcome to Alcatel Speed Touch USB setup” window pops up click on Next to
proceed.
Then press Yes to accept the terms of the agreement and proceed
with the installation.
The following window allows you to choose the destination folder where
you want the USB driver software to be installed. In most
cases the proposed destination is best suited for the driver software. In case
you want to change the destination folder click on Browse
and choose another destination folder . Then press Next .
Press Next to proceed with the installation.
The installation sequence is shown in the following window.
Note for
Windows ME/2000 users: If
a Digital Signature window appears press Yes for
the process to go further.
Press Finish.
After the installation is completed, you
may connect your USB modem to your PC.
