Important Notes
1. Better viewed service
selection dashboard
The service selection dashboard
page is best viewed with Internet
Explorer 5 or Netscape
6 and later versions.
2 . Disconnect from ISP
On finishing any work which requires connection to the ISP,
you will then have to disconnect from the ISP. This could
be achieved through the menu "Status/Logout". After clicking
at "Open Services" you press "Disconnect" opposite the respective
ISP. An alternative is clicking on "Logout" at the "Status/Logout" where
the disconnection will follow automatically. For further
instructions click here . In case
you have closed your browser, re-open it, go to the initial
page www.cyta-dsl.com , login again by
typing in your i -choice username
and password and then disconnect from your ISP as explained
above.
3. Releasing IP address
Immediately after disconnecting from i -choice (i.e.
after logout) the IP address must be released. For information
on how to release the IP address of your PC click here .
If the IP address is not released then it is possible that
a connection problem will occur next time the computer tries
to connect. The connectivity problems which occur if the
IP address is not released, are more frequent when the PC
is used from different locations to log onto the service(eg
is used from a number of adsl lines at home or at work).
4. Do not confuse DHCP
Servers
In case the PC which is connected to i -choice is
also part of a local network that uses a DHCP server, you
are advised to modify the setting of your PC such that it
does not "see" the local DHCP. The use of a DHCP server in
your local network may cause problems to the proper functionality
of the i -choice service.
5. Use of IP address
In case the PC which is connected to i -choice is
also part of a local network, please make sure that the IP
address of the second Ethernet card of the PC belongs to
one of the following addresses:
192.168.100.× to 192.168.254.×
Customers which have Ethernet modems can, in addition, use
the following addresses:
10.200.×.× to 10.254.×.×.
6. Security notice
As the broadband i-choice service
provides an 'always on' connection
to the internet, it is recommended
to install firewall software to
protect the pc from any attempts
by hackers to access it.
