Cisco 677i
Cisco 677i ADSL modem provides home connectivity to the i -choice network over an ISDN connection. The Cisco 677i is used on a line with ISDN traffic. The Cisco 677i is shown below with and without a splitter. The splitter separates DSL data signals from ISDN voice signals on your ISDN line.

Installation
Installation of the Cisco 677i is done in two steps with respect to:
1.Connection of the modem
2.Connection of the splitter.

The figure below is a guide for the steps which follow.

Connection of the modem
This section describes how to connect the Power and Ethernet Cables:
Step 1 Plug the power connector into the back of the unit (PWR socket).
Step 2 Connect the Ethernet cable to the ENET (Ethernet) port.
Step 3 Connect the other side of the Ethernet cable to the computer's Ethernet card.

Connection of the splitter
This section describes how to connect the splitter to the telephone socket and telephone device. It also indicates the way in which the modem is connected to the splitter.
Step 4 Connect the provided telephone cable to the modem's WALL connector.
Then connect the other end of the cable to the splitter.
Step 5 Connect the splitter through a telephone cable to the telephone socket.
Step 6 (optional): Connect the house telephone network (or a single telephone device) to the socket of the splitter indicated in the figure.

Once the modem has been connected switch on the power supply and observe the LED indicators with reference to the table below.

Indication Type Colour Description
POWER Green When the light is ON, the Cisco 677i is in operation.
ALARM Red When the light is ON, a possible problem is indicated. A brief Red light during power up is a normal behavior of the modem.
LAN-ACT Orange When this light blinks, it indicates activity on the Ethernet port (connected to the computer).
LAN-LNK Green When this light is ON, it indicates that a link has been established on the Ethernet port.
WAN-ACT Orange When this light blinks, it indicates that the WAN port (connected to the i -choice network) is transmitting or receiving data.
WAN-LNK Green When this light is ON, a link has been established on the WAN port. During power up, the WAN-LNK light blinks steadily during ADSL line sychronization activities. When the light is solid, means that the Cisco 677i is connected and sychronized.
